Based in Toronto, Andrew Martin-Smith is a seasoned line producer and production manager, credited on over 60 professional film, television, and interactive productions.
His most recent production credits include The Nest (Hot Docs 2025), Parade: Queer Acts of Love & Resistance (Hot Docs 2025), the Peabody Award-winning Any Other Way: The Jackie Shane Story (Crave), and the Oscar-nominated To Kill a Tiger (NFB, Netflix).
With a focus on documentary and short subjects, Andrew has also supported and mentored emerging filmmakers through his work with the National Film Board’s Filmmaker Assistance Program.
For the past year, Andrew has worked as a freelance production consultant, advising independent producers on matters of production financing and business affairs. He recently completed a certificate in Entertainment Law at Osgoode Hall and is a member of both the Documentary Organization of Canada and the Visual Researchers Society of Canada.
